The XRI-Plus maintains the functional fit and design that the original XRI garment became know for, but now with enhanced features to further meet the needs for those that require more than just conventional work wear.

The XRI-Plus coverall is ideally suited for:

Mines Rescue
Underground mining
Urban Search and Rescue
Heavy industrial environments
High Angle/Line Rescue
Offshore Oil and Gas

The XRI-Plus is manufactured from a lighter weight, breathable fabric that is a blend of 88% cotton and 12% high tenacity (HT) nylon.

The fabric is Proban treated for flame retardant protection.

The introduction of the small quantity of HT nylon to the outward face of the fabric improves abrasion resistance and fabric stability, therefore leading to a more durable garment .

This blended fabric has a supple feel which, in combination with the high cotton content and the lighter weight, result in a more comfortable garment. This is the modern approach to high cotton content flame retardant fabrics – superior comfort and improved robustness.

The HT nylon content does not interfere with nor reduce the Proban flame retardant protection, fully passing EN 533 Index 3, EN 531 and EN 470-1 para 6.1.

Further, the fabric has fully passed the testing requirements of AS/NZS 4824: 2006 for wildland fire fighting.

(The garment itself was not designed for fire fighting).
